To kick off the Station 19 Season 6 Episode 2, Theo and Vic share a steamy shower scene. While Beckett continues to tease Maya, Travis continues to deny that he is becoming famous and could actually win the election. Theo is under the impression that he needs a boyfriend, and his self-proclaimed campaign manager, Vic, agrees. Theo and Vicky conspire to arrange a date for him. Travis made some serious mistakes in his previous commitment, so I’m sceptical about this one working out. He’s a full-time firefighter and also running for mayor; will he be able to keep up with a new relationship?
Theo reveals that he overheard Carina and Beckett discussing the blackmail, while Ben tries to figure out why Beckett is out for Maya’s blood. I love Theo’s inquisitive nature. While the rest of the team is sceptical, Vicky is optimistic. To them, it’s more interesting to learn what Maya might have that she could use to blackmail the Chief. Andy has noticed that Sullivan has been silent throughout this whole conversation. After Andy tells Maya she made a mistake, Maya reveals the relationship between Sullivan and Chief Natasha.
Gibson, on the other hand, goes to the hospital to get his hand examined. Carina helps him out by treating him for failing to fulfil his promise to be their donor. To put it mildly, Carina is not in a good mood right now. Put it down to hormones and her never-ending feud with Carina. After a fruitless search for Gibson’s foster siblings, Carina learns that he did indeed leave. Carina is so moved by Gibson’s anguish that she puts aside her own anger and tells him to seek help instead of trying to bear his suffering alone.
After responding to a call about a crypto fire, the crew learns that there are other unexploded bombs lying about the city. Some “genius” decided it would be a good idea to illegally install crypto mines in low-income households, which is leading to electrical fires.

After meeting Gibson at the hospital, Carina later visits the firehouse to report that he is not doing well. Maya tells him she doesn’t want to help because she’s got her own issues to cope with and is still bitter that Gibson “ditched” them. Since Carina has not yet found a therapist, she inquires as to how Maya is handling her issues. Maya is upset with Carina because she thinks it’s unfair that Carina wants her to seek assistance and attend therapy.
Theo and Vic are head over heels in love, while Maya and Carina are on the verge of breaking up. Having reached this point of contentment, I wholeheartedly support them. Vic, however, is concerned that they are too content. It’s understandable that she feels another shoe is about to drop after all the disappointments and tragedies they’ve already through.

By the episode’s end, Maya has given Beckett an olive branch of peace and declared an end to their conflict. The only catch is that she plied him with drink, and Beckett is sober.
