Riley Strain, a student at the University of Missouri (Mizzou), went missing on March 8, 2024, after being kicked out from a bar located along Lower Broadway in Music City’s downtown entertainment area, famously known as honky-tonk row.

He was a student at Mizzou and went to Nashville to join his fraternity Delta Chi for their annual spring formal. When he went missing Metro Nashville Police Department shared a tweet in which they tweeted:

“Officers continue to work to locate missing person Riley Strain, 22, who was last seen Fri. night by friends @ a Broadway bar in Nashville. Riley is from Missouri and was visiting. He is 6’5″ tall with a thin build, blue eyes and light brown hair. See him? Pls call 615-862-8600.”

On Friday, March 22, 2024, the search came to an end as his dead body was discovered. When his body was found, there is a concern among the community to know what was found in his autopsy reports. This post aims to provide all the details regarding his untimely passing.

Has Riley Strain’s Autopsy Report Revealed?

Riley Strain’s dead body was found in the Cumberland River in West Nashville, about eight miles from downtown. As of yet, Riley Strain’s autopsy report is not revealed. Metro Nashville Police Department shared a tweet in which they said:

“BREAKING: The body of Riley Strain was recovered from the Cumberland River in West Nashville this morning, approximately 8 miles from downtown. No foul play-related trauma was observed. An autopsy is pending.”

How Did the Community Pay Tribute to Riley Strain?

Over 50 people came together on Friday, March 22 evening beneath the James Robertson Parkway bridge on Gay Street for a candlelight ceremony to honor Riley Strain, close to where he was last spotted on March 8.

The group, including many who had helped in the search, lit candles around 7:30 p.m. and offered prayers for Strain’s family. On Friday, March 22 night, Strain’s family gathered in a tiny room at the Metro Nashville Police Headquarters to express gratitude to the neighborhood.

Strain’s mother, “Michelle Whiteid” said, “I just ask that you mommas out there hug your babies tight tonight, please. Please for me. Hug your babies tight tonight.” You can listen her words in a tweet provided below:
