How Did Jaedyn Shaw’s Parents Support in Her Career?
Jaedyn Shaw was born on November 20, 2004, in Frisco, Texas. She showed a love for soccer from a young age. Seeing her interest, her parents, Lance and Ann Shaw, signed her up for a soccer academy starting her amazing journey.
As Jaedyn’s talent grew, she became better than players who had been playing longer. Her parents, Lance and Ann, had to make a big decision: how much would they do to support Jaedyn’s soccer dreams? They decided to do everything they could.
The family had to make big changes, cutting back on spending to make sure Jaedyn had what she needed. At one time, the Shaws lived in a small one-bedroom apartment. Everything revolved around Jaedyn’s goals. They didn’t take vacations or have honeymoons—they were completely focused on helping Jaedyn succeed.
Jaedyn herself recognizes how important her parents are. She believes that their sacrifices are the reason for her success. Once she said:
“I owe everything to my parents for the sacrifices that they made for me, I know that we didn’t always have a lot to work with, and they always made sure that I had what I needed to be able to play the game that I love.”
She said:
“Me and my brother shared a bed in the living room, my parents had the [one] room and all four of us shared one bathroom, It was chaotic, but I think that it brought us so close as a family and it allowed us to just be grateful for each other’s presence, even in the midst of hard times. They sacrificed absolutely everything for me.”
