Who are Drake Milligan’s Parents?
James and Angela Milligan welcomed Drake into the world on June 1, 1998, in Arlington, Texas. He was inspired by the country music his father listened to particularly Merle Haggard and Elvis impersonator he saw sing at a nearby restaurant.
Following his local performances as an Elvis impersonator, Milligan responded to a CMT casting call for the TV series “Sun Records”, where he was cast as Elvis Presley. After securing the role, he had to relocate from Texas to Nashville, Tennessee, where he was a senior in high school.
In 2018, Milligan participated in American Idol but eventually left the show. Milligan had an audition for a recording deal with BBR Music Group when he was in Nashville. He released the Christmas tune “Cowgirl for Christmas” on October 22, 2021.
When Milligan and his band performed an original song called “Sounds Like Something I’d Do” on America’s Got Talent on June 8, 2022, they received four “yes” votes. Drake performed his new song “I Got A Problem” live with his band on September 13, 2023, at the AGT Results Night.
On September 15, 2022, Milligan’s first album, Dallas/Fort Worth, was made available. He debuted on the Grand Ole Opry in October 2022. He worked with The Reklaws on the song “Honky Tonkin’ About” in 2023. He released the song “I Got A Problem” on September 7, 2023.
