The long fight between Chris Paul and Scott Foster in the NBA has been going on for a while. Nobody really knows why they don’t get along, but some new info might help us understand how it all started.
Usually, when fans know a lot about a certain official, it’s often because they don’t like them. That’s the situation with Scott Foster. The NBA referee, who is often linked with the scandal involving Tim Donaghy, is mainly known for his difficult relationship with Chris Paul.
Some people think the referee holds a grudge against Paul, especially because he has officiated 20 playoff games with Paul’s teams, which have lost 17 of those games by an average of more than 11 points.
Earlier this month, Paul got kicked out of a game for saying something mean to Foster. After the game, Paul talked about a time when he had a problem with the referee back when he played for the Clippers. He hinted that it might have been about something to do with his son.

Paul’s secret was hard to understand at first, but Gilbert Arenas shared some new information on his show “Gil’s Arena” that helped clear things up.
On the show, Josiah Johnson talked about a conversation he had with Paul where they discussed something that hadn’t been aired before. It was about an incident between Foster and Paul’s son that apparently caused the disagreement.
“The situation with his son, I believe after a game, Little Chris was playing in the tunnel. Scott Foster, in the car with the other refs, rolls up to him, honks the horn at him, yells at him ‘Get the f— out the way!’ and some other expletives—to a little kid. CP3 finds out about that. Naturally, like any of us would do with our kids, is not particularly happy about that.”
Paul said that before games, Foster often came to him to talk about their past disagreements when they were refereeing. This doesn’t seem right for someone whose job is to referee basketball games.
Even though this came out, the NBA hasn’t done anything about it. This makes people wonder why the league isn’t doing anything about this ongoing argument.
