XXXTENTACION was tragically murdered about six years ago. A sad shooting killed him when he was the target of a planned robbery outside a Florida business. After his death, mobile footage of the incident’s aftermath began to circulate online.
Recently, after many years bodycam footage from one of the officers who responded to the scene has leaked online. The videos don’t show any s*xual content, but they do show the police responding quickly to the shooting.
The cop speaks with the witnesses in the released clip. It’s unclear how the footage finally came to light after multiple years but it serves as a grim reminder for fans of the late rapper. What Happened to XXXTentacion?
At 3:56 p.m EDT on June 18, 2018, Tentacion, upon leaving Riva Motorsports Motorcycle & Marine Superstore in Deerfield Beach, Florida was blocked from exiting the parking lot by a black Dodge Journey SUV in a premeditated attack.
As the rapper sat in the driver’s seat of the SUV, two masked individuals got out and came up to him. Armed guys got into a short altercation with Onfroy’s car, reached inside and shot him many times before stealing a tiny Louis Vuitton bag with US$50,000.
The shooters fled the scene in their SUV. Some people recorded XXXTentacion’s body for clout on social media, instead of trying to help him.

After some time, he was taken by paramedics to the nearby Broward Health North hospital in Deerfield Beach, where he was pronounced dead. At 5:30 p.m., the Broward County Sheriff’s Office reported his death.

When Was XXXTentacion’s Murderers Arrested?
Two days after the incident, Pompano Beach resident Dedrick Devonshay Williams was taken into custody and held in the Broward County prison. Dangerous and depraved first-degree murder was one of the charges against him.
Michael Boatwright, the event’s triggerman and Robert Allen, his accomplice were both caught and charged with premeditated first-degree murder in the weeks that followed. Trayvon Newsome, was arrested and charged with premeditated first-degree murder in August 2018.
Allen pled guilty to a lesser charge of second-degree murder in exchange for testimony against the other three defendants on August 12, 2022. As of February 7, 2023, their trial has begun. the remaining three criminals were found guilty.

On June 27, 2018, spectators were paid their condolences during an open casket ceremony for Onfroy at the BB&T Centre in Sunrise, Florida. Musicians Erykah Badu, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Yachty were among those who attended his private funeral on June 28, 2018.

A Tribute to XXXTentacion’s Life and Legacy
XXXTentacion drew attention to mental health issues with his “depressing and at times devastating” music, which was based on themes of isolation and sadness.
The influence XXXTentacion had on his youthful fans and his widespread acclaim throughout his career gave him “a huge musical footprint”. On June 18, 2019, exactly one year after XXXTentacion’s death, an official documentary on his life was announced.
The film included footage of Onfroy from around April 2017 telling biographical details. “Look at Me”, a film that was announced on February 2, 2022, was set to premiere on Hulu on May 26, 2022. He is also one of the top 20 all-time best-selling artists in terms of digital singles.
