What Happened to Aubreigh Wyatt?
Aubreigh Wyatt, a 13-year-old from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, died by suicide on September 4, 2023. Her classmates bullied her before her death. Her passing has saddened the Ocean Springs community and made people talk more about mental health and bullying.
Ocean Springs School District shared a post on X about Aubreigh’s passing and wrote,

Aubreigh’s mom, Heather Wyatt, tried to stop the bullying by telling the school and the bullies’ parents. But it didn’t work. Aubreigh had many friends who supported her, but one group of kids kept bullying her.
Despite this, Aubreigh tried to stay happy and strong. She found solace in her church group and her faith. She had a loving family, including an older sister and a younger brother.
After Aubreigh died, the police began to look into what happened. Aubreigh’s family wants fairness. They’re thinking about taking legal action against those who allowed the bullying to continue for so long. Aubreigh’s mom has been using social media to talk about how bullying is a big issue that must be stopped.
Now, people are leaving flowers and toys outside Aubreigh’s school to remember her. Her family wants to stop bullying and keep other kids safe from experiencing what Aubreigh went through by speaking up about it.

Who is Aubreigh Wyatt?
Aubreigh was born on March 17, 2010, in Ocean Springs. She was a fantastic student in 8th grade at Ocean Springs Middle School. Aubreigh was known for being really good at school stuff, always getting straight A’s.
She also liked being part of her school community and doing fun work with other young people at St. Paul UMC. Aubreigh had lots of hobbies she loved, like doing gymnastics and making cool videos on TikTok. She was super friendly and made lots of people in her town happy.
