Is Young Thug Currently Dating Anyone?
Young Thug is now rumored to be with another singer, Mariah the Scientist. Mariah and the incarcerated rapper were first linked back in September 2021. They have collaborated on music together. Mariah the Scientist has shown her support for Young Thug, who is currently in jail.
Why is Young Thug is in Prison?
Thug was arrested in Atlanta on May 9, 2022, on suspicion of gang-related offenses. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis filed a 56-count Georgia RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act indictment, charging 28 individuals, including Thug and Gunna.
After his house was searched, he was accused of seven further charges including the possession of illicit weapons and drugs. The Fulton County Superior Court housed him. He has been detained in the Cobb County Jail since his arrest after being refused bond many times.
His state RICO criminal prosecution got underway on November 27, 2023. In addition to him, five of his co-defendants will face trial.
Following the stabbing of co-defendant Shannon Stillwell during a dispute in the Fulton County Jail, it was decided on December 12, 2023, that the trial would not proceed until January 2024. In January, 2024, the trial of this case is still going on.
