A Look at the Life of Margaret Riley
Born on December 9, 1965, Riley received a graduate degree from the American Film Institute. Riley began her more than 30-year Hollywood career producing movies, documentaries and advertising. She worked as the Director of Development at the interactive and game business Virtual World Entertainment, owned by Tim Disney, in 1992.
She worked on science fiction projects there that were turned into movies for New Line Cinema. She started working as an assistant in 1995 at Addis Wechsler and Associates, a production and management business that subsequently changed its name to Industry Entertainment.
Three years after Riley established Margaret Riley Management in 2002, Brillstein Entertainment Partners purchased the company. Riley and her colleagues Aleen Keshishian and Zack Morgenroth left Brillstein in 2016 to establish the production/management business Lighthouse Management and Media.
Riley is listed as an executive producer on the Billie Eilish: The World is a Little Blurry documentary directed by Cutler. In addition, she appeared as an EP on Love and Other Drugs and Ryan Murphy’s Ratched.
Riley worked as a producer on the film Bombshell, which depicted the account of Megyn Kelly (Charlize Theron), a talented actress on Fox News and Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman), a producer, who subjected them to s*xual harassment by CEO Roger Ailes (John Lithgow). Before her work at Brillstein, Riley worked as an assistant at Industry Entertainment and she founded Margaret Riley Management in 2002.
