American college athletics administrator Beth Goetz was born on July 30, 1974. She was also a collegiate football player and coach. After Gary Barta retired in August 2023, Goetz began working for the institution in 2022 as chief operations officer and deputy athletic director. She was appointed temporary athletic director in January 2024.

Goetz previously held the positions of chief operations officer at the University of Connecticut from 2016 to 2018, temporary athletic director at the University of Minnesota from 2015 to 2016, deputy athletic director at Ball State University from 2018 to 2022, assistant athletic director at the University of Missouri-St. Louis from 2000 to 2008 and associate athletic director at Butler University from 2008 to 2013.

From 1997 until 2007, she oversaw the women’s football team at Missouri-St. Louis, where she had a 120–90–9 record. Goetz played midfield and defense in football while an undergraduate at Clemson University and Brevard College. In 2000, she graduated with a master’s degree from Missouri-St. Louis.
