Darnell Ferguson is a Food Network star and chef who owns two restaurants in the United States. He married Tatahda Ferguson in 2016 and they have eight children together. But recently, an incident happened between the couple and below you will read about it.

What Happened Between Darnell Ferguson & His Wife?

Darnell broke into Tatahda’s St. Matthews house and started beating and screaming at her. Then, he threatened to murder her before grabbing her by the neck and strangling her. According to the warrant, St. Matthews reported losing consciousness and being unable to breathe. The warrant alleged:

“When victim regained consciousness, she was on the floor and [Darnell] then ripped off the victim’s shorts, causing a scratch to victim’s upper thigh, After ripping victim’s shorts, [Darnell] demanded to see victim’s private area and told victim she was his and no one else’s.”

The warrant also stated that Ferguson’s purported acts placed her in fear of being s*xually assaulted. After being summoned to the residence, police snapped pictures of the purported victim’s wounds which included redness, scratches and pain to her neck and a scratch to her upper thigh. After that, she was brought to the hospital so that she might receive care.

When Was Darnell Ferguson Arrested?

Ferguson was arrested Jan. 9 in St. Matthews, a suburb of Louisville, on felony charges of b_rglary and strangulation.

In addition, he is charged with minor offenses such as assault, menacing, terroristic threats and criminal mischief. For allegedly stealing his estranged wife’s credit card and ID, he was charged with an extra misdemeanor, theft-receipt of a stolen credit or debit card, but the allegation was dropped at the preliminary hearing.

Has Darnell Ferguson Been Released From Jail?

Darnell “SuperChef” Ferguson, a celebrity chef on Food Network is facing criminal charges linked to domestic violence after it was alleged that he has been accused of strangling and threatening to kill his estranged wife in Kentucky. Darnell reportedly pleaded not guilty and is currently out on bail. 

According to an updated case history file published by the Kentucky Court of Justice, the 36-year-old chef’s case was submitted to a grand jury after a preliminary hearing.

The grand jury hearing is scheduled for the week of Feb. 19, 2024. After the preliminary hearing, the below statement has been obtained from Ferguson’s attorney, Krsna Tibbs of Tibbs Law Office. The statement read:

“Mr. Ferguson continues to maintain his complete innocence and is confident that when all the facts are made public, he will be exonerated. While today’s hearing was preliminary, a number of new details were introduced by the Louisville police that begin to paint a clear picture of the events of January 2, 2024, Right now, Mr. Ferguson is 100% focused on the well-being and safety of his family and asks that his children’s privacy be maintained.”
