Lucas was born on February 26, 1999, and he was dearly loved by his parents, Brian and Marie Sizemore. He was a special brother to Evan Sizemore and a caring fiancé to Elizabeth Paolucci. Lucas was cherished as a grandson, nephew, and cousin in a big and loving family that included grandparents, aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins.

Lucas had a short but meaningful career at the Atlanta Police Department (APD). He finished police training in May 2023 and worked the evening shift in Zone 4. Even though he was there for a short time, Lucas was dedicated to keeping his community safe, earning him the respect and admiration of his fellow officers.
The Atlanta Police Department posted a tribute and said,
“On behalf of Chief Schierbaum and the entire Atlanta Police Department, it is with heavy hearts that we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Officer Lucas Sizemore from Zone 4 Evening Watch.”
They continued,
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Lucas Sizemore’s loved ones during this painful time. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy inspire us all to foster a culture of compassion, understanding, and support within the Atlanta Police Department family.”
Sudden and Untimely Demise
The circumstances surrounding Lucas’s untimely demise remain unclear, with authorities describing it as a non-line-of-duty death. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues at the APD, where he was deeply valued and respected.

Lucas Sizemore Funeral Arrangements
Lucas’s visitation is scheduled for January 18th, 2024, at the Molnar Funeral Home in Brownstown, Michigan. A mass will follow the next day at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Allen Park, Michigan. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Atlanta Police Foundation – Officer Emergency Fund in memory of Lucas.
