Game Grumps Controversy: The Leadfoot Doxing Incident

Game Grumps Controversy

Lots of people love watching others play video games for fun these days. Two buddies, Arin Hanson and Dan Avidan, decided to join in on the fun and made their own thing called Game Grumps. They sit on a couch, play video games, and make a good amount of money from it.

Sometimes, streaming can have some not-so-great moments. One incident that got fans curious is the Leadfoot Doxing controversy. In this post, we will provide information about what exactly happened in this incident.

What Happened in the Leadfoot Doxing Incident?

In 2015, the two friends were playing Sonic Adventure. They reached a part where they needed help, so they checked a guide. The guide was supposed to give hints about finding three emerald pieces, not directly telling the location.

However, the friends didn’t find it helpful and got really mad, even though the guide was meant to give advice. Dan revealed the person behind the walkthrough in a live event. He even mentioned,

“If he gets a wave of hate from our fans, I would not be surprised 11 years.”

After hearing this, the group’s fans decided to take action and went after the person who was trying to assist. Once Dan understood what happened, he said sorry to the person he chased after.

The person accepted the apology, and they both removed the video, blurring the person’s name. What makes it bad for Dan and Arin is that they denied the incident, but there’s a video proving it happened.
