Jim Shockey shared a touching tribute to his late wife on social media, expressing his grief and love. On November 20, 2023, he wrote on Instagram:
“This will be a long one. I am so sorry, so, so very sorry…but it is time to say goodbye. Two months ago, I videoed my beloved soulmate for the last time. It tore my heart out to see this beautiful Angel fade into the darkness…but it was also…in the saddest most sorrowful sense…a beautiful ending.”
“Louise was the strongest person I have ever met. She did not shrink from reality, did not avoid the truth. My eyes are welled up in tears right now as I write this. And I will cherish the memories of the fairytale that was my life during those nearly 40 years that…I was married to an Angel.”
