Does Dan Fogelberg Have Kids?
We don’t have any official records or widely known information about Dan Fogelberg having kids. But it’s essential to understand that just because we don’t know about them publicly doesn’t necessarily mean he didn’t have any; it might mean his children, if he had any, were kept private.
Dan Fogelberg Legacy
To honor Fogelberg, Peoria decided to change the name of Abington Street in the East Bluff neighborhood to “Fogelberg Parkway.” This street passes by Woodruff High School, where Fogelberg went to school, and his father taught and led a band.
Fogelberg Parkway goes all the way to the corner of N. Prospect and E. Frye, where a convenience store is located. This store is mentioned in Fogelberg’s song “Same Old Lang Syne,” where he bumped into his high school sweetheart on Christmas Eve.
In 2010, some devoted Fogelberg fans made a memorial garden in Riverfront Park. Fogelberg got into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2017. Ten years after he died, Jean organized a CD tribute to him called “A Tribute to Dan Fogelberg.”
The CD featured performances by his old friend Joe Walsh, along with Eagles, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Jimmy Buffett, Michael McDonald, Randy Owen, Donna Summer, Boz Scaggs, Dobie Gray, the Zac Brown Band, and more.
Jean, along with Dan’s friend Norbert Putnam, manager Irving Azoff, and music promoter Chuck Morris, helped produce the tribute CD. Chuck Morris, who became a member of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame with Fogelberg in 2018, was also involved in the project.
Part of the Plan is a musical that features Fogelberg’s music. It stars Harley Jay and Kate Morgan Chadwick and premiered on September 8, 2017, at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) in Nashville.
