“It is with broken hearts that we share the news of the death of our beloved Jacob Carter. Jake was tragically killed on January 5th in New Orleans while on vacation with his husband Daniel.”

In response to this tragic event, a GoFundMe campaign was set up to support Daniel and the Howdy Bagel staff. The fundraiser aimed to cover operational costs and employee wages during the shop’s temporary closure, allowing time for grieving.
