Canto debuted on American television in 2013 as Paul Torres in the first season of the drama series “The Following” on Fox. In the 2014 superhero movie “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, he was subsequently chosen to play Sunspot.
Canto appeared often in the 2014 season of “Mixology”, an ABC comedy series. He then co-starred in the Amazon pilot Hysteria and NBC’s The Curse of the Fuentes Women. Canto was chosen to play AJ Menendez in the ABC prime-time series Blood & Oil in 2015.
