Who Are CJ Stroud Parents?
CJ Stroud was born to Kimberly and Coleridge Stroud. His dad, Coleridge Bernard Stroud III, got a long prison sentence for doing some bad stuff involving drugs in 2016. He pleaded guilty to kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery under California’s three-strikes law.
Since then, he’s been in jail, and the family faced serious money problems, living in a small apartment above a storage place. Despite these challenges, Stroud did well in high school, becoming the offensive player of the year in his senior year.
In 2019, he was the MVP of the Elite 11 and played in the All-American Bowl in 2020. Although he started as a 3-star recruit, he finished high school as the third-highest-rated quarterback in his class. He decided to play college football at Ohio State University.
Stroud and Bryce Young, a friend from high school, both made it big in the 2023 NFL Draft, getting picked in the first two selections. They’ve been friends since their high school days in Southern California and continued their friendship in college. Now, both are playing in the NFL.
