The 81st Golden Globe Awards honored the best in film and American television productions of 2023. On January 7, 2024, the event was televised live from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. In between each award, this year’s Golden Globes host Koy cracked a joke acknowledging that Swift was present at the star-studded ceremony.
The singer, who was seated next to Miles Teller’s wife Keleigh Sperry, maintained her composure when the comedian commented on the attention she gets when she goes to Kansas City Chiefs games with “Travis Kelce”. Koy joked:
“The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL – on the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift, I swear, there’s just more to go to.”

Koy kicked off the show with a barrage of jokes directed at various members of the crowd including Robert De Niro and Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan.
He enquired as to “how De Niro, who welcomed a baby in April alongside partner Tiffany Chen, got her pregnant at 80?”
Throughout his speech, Koy also joked about another 2023 smash hit, joking that Oppenheimer “needed another hour” and then declaring that he would finally complete the Christopher Nolan movie in 2024.
How Many Times Did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Appear Together?
She went to a Kansas City Chiefs game in September, which is when she and the 34-year-old Kelce first became connected. Since then, they have been together on many occasions to show their support for one another.
