A familiar voice in Twin Cities radio broadcasting is being remembered after Pat’s passing. Pat Ebertz passed away unexpectedly in his sleep peacefully at his home in St. Cloud, Minnesota on December 26, 2023, at the age of 59.
Where Will Pat Ebertz’s Funeral Services be Held?
On January 4, from 3 to 8 p.m., Williams Dingmann Funeral Homes in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, was opened for visitation.
The Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, North Dakota will host a Rosary Service and Visitation on January 5th from 5-8 pm. At St. James Basilica in Jamestown, North Dakota, on January 6th at 10:30 am, there will be a funeral and Christian burial.

Pat will be greatly missed because he made it a point to keep in touch with every member of the family. Everyone adored Pat, and Pat adored everyone. His legacy as a devoted father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend is immeasurable.

When Was Pat Ebertz Born?
On November 30, 1964, Pat was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Johnny and Glory Ebertz. Pat grew up in Jamestown, surrounded by the affection of a tight-knit family. From kindergarten through the sixth grade, Pat was a student at St. John’s Academy.
She later graduated in 1983 from Jamestown High School. Pat was a vibrant member of the Student Council and showed leadership and charm at a young age. And so was his passion for acting and making others laugh.
Pat loved participating in school plays and did magic shows at the local library regularly. Pat studied at the University of North Dakota, where she earned her psychology bachelor’s degree in 1987.
When Did Pat Ebertz Get His First Job?
Pat was fourteen years old when he obtained his first radio job at KSJM FM, a local Jamestown radio station. He worked there as “Pat Shocker” hosting his own weekly Top 10 Countdown and it was clear that he enjoyed having listeners, whether they were friends or family.
He started his career in radio while attending college, working at Grand Forks FM radio stations XL93, KLITE and Magic 96. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Pat gained recognition in 1993 for his work on the Dave Ryan morning program on Minneapolis’ KDWB station, where he worked as a producer and co-host until 2002. Pat had numerous exceptional opportunities throughout his career to meet and interview well-known actors, musicians, politicians and celebrities.
In 2008, Pat decided to switch to radio sales and marketing because he wanted to spend more time with his four kids, Isabelle, John, Patrick and Christian. Beginning at Leighton Broadcasting in St. Cloud, Pat had a very successful sales career.
He later worked for Disney/KQRS in Minneapolis, Hubbard Broadcasting in Minneapolis and the Tom Barnard Show. Pat stood out from the competition during his sales career thanks to the multiple sales awards he received.
