What is Jonathan Tourney’s Cause of Death?

Jonathan Tourney passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 14. He died in a car crash in McCandless. When the driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree, Jonathan Tourney and Taylor Orlowski perished.

After Jonathan’s death, Pine Richland Basketball team tweeted, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Tourney family. Please consider supporting the family however you can.”

Where Was Jonathan Tourney’s Funeral Services Held?

A vigil was held for Tourney on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at 6 p.m. in front of Pine-Richland Stadium. That night, hundreds of people showed up for a vigil outside Pine-Richland’s football field in memory of Tourney. You can see the love of people for Tourney in a tweet provided below:

Friends were visited Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services were held in the funeral home after visitation at 8 p.m.

Interment will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, at 12 p.m. in Allegheny County Memorial Park. There is a GoFundMe page set up in Tourney’s honor. Ryan Cory tweeted, “Please consider donating if you can.”

A Look at The Life of Jonathan Tourney

Jonathan Tourney was born on May 15, 2009, in Pittsburgh. He was the beloved son of Eleanor Fleming Tourney and the late David Tourney. He was the sibling of Jeffrey Tourney. Grandson of Rose Marie Toia, Robert Fleming, and Audrey McGreevy, who passed away.

Jonathan played football for Pine-Richland High School’s JV-B squad, starting as a wide receiver this past fall. He was a 9th grader at the school. Along with taking care of his two dogs, Remington and Delilah, he enjoyed skating, skiing, fishing and riding his dirt bike.

Jonathan loved life, his family, and spending time with his many friends. His contagious smile could light up a room.
