Jacob P. Hahn was born on October 12, 1999, in Woodville, Ohio. People loved him for his happy energy and the way he made everyone smile. Sadly, he left us too soon, on December 9, 2023, at the age of 24, making his family, friends, and the whole Woodville community really sad.
How Did Jacob Hahn Die?
Jacob Hahn’s life ended tragically in a bad car crash near the intersection of US 20 (Fremont Pike) and Lemoyne Road in Troy Township, Wood County, Ohio. The incident happened around 6:58 p.m. on December 9, 2023, involving three vehicles: a red 2018 Kia Soul, a grey 2016 Ford Fusion (driven by Jacob), and a grey 2019 Dodge Journey.
The crash occurred because the Kia Soul, driven by Samantha Hammons from Toledo, crashed into the back of Jacob’s Ford Fusion at high speed.
This impact caused the Fusion to spin into the eastbound lane, where it was hit by the oncoming Dodge Journey driven by Zachery Bollinger. Jacob Hahn and his passenger, Savannah Harding, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Jacob liked helping the community. He joined charities and local projects. He volunteered, gave money, and took part in community events. He wanted to make the world better, one kind act at a time.
Hayden Basinger wrote a special tribute,
“You’re the nicest guy I’ve ever met. Always laughing, even on the bad days. If the world had more people like you, maybe it wouldn’t be so messed up. It’s been an honor to call you my friend. I hope the boys grow up to be best buds too. I’ll make sure Jack looks out for Beckett in school. You two will always be remembered. Till next time bro..”
Joshua Bearley posted a tribute and wrote a message,
“You and Savannah are great parents, and you will continue to be from above. Beckett will have the best guardian angels watching over him. You guys will forever be missed, but I promise you will never be forgotten. Until I see you again…spread those wings and fly high you angels.”
