How Did Alisha Lehmann Became Successful?
Lehmann began playing professionally for the Swiss club BSC YB Frauen. She scored 25 goals in 52 league games while there. In August 2018, West Ham United in the FA Women’s Super League signed her.
West Ham’s manager, Matt Beard, was impressed with her performances in the 2018 U-19 European Championship. After scoring nine goals in 30 games and helping West Ham reach the Women’s FA Cup final, her contract was extended in April 2019.
On January 27, 2021, Lehmann moved to Everton on loan until the end of the season. Later, she joined Aston Villa for the 2021–22 season. In July 2022, she extended her contract for another year, having made 23 appearances and scored four goals in her first season.
At the end of the 2022–23 season, with 54 appearances for Aston Villa, Lehmann extended her contract until June 2026 with an option for another year.
International Career
In July 2015, Lehmann played for the Swiss U-17 national team in the U-17 European Championship in Iceland, reaching the final but losing 5-2 to Spain. In July 2018, she was part of the Swiss U-19 team in the U-19 European Championship at home but retired in the preliminary stage.
