Nolan Kearney died suddenly on August 24, 2023, in a car accident in his hometown of Boxford, Massachusetts.
On Saturday, September 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Essex Tech, 565 Maple Street, Danvers, MA hosted an homage without a formal service. A Look at Nolan Kearney’s Life
Nolan was born in Beverly, Massachusetts and grew up in Boxford with his sister Lillian and brother Ethan. Christopher and Amie Kearney are his parents. Family and friends knew Nolan for his adventurous, creative, inquisitive nature as well as his love of learning, exploring and enjoying life to the fullest.
He enjoyed mountain biking, hockey, golf, fishing and ski trips. He also had lots of wonderful experiences on the family boat, in cycling competitions, on ski vacations and at his grandparents’ Cape Cod house. Nolan was a devoted teammate, excellent son, watchful brother, wonderful friend and missionary for his Andover, Massachusetts-based church, Faith Lutheran.
He went to Masconomet Middle and High Schools, Boxford Elementary School and Essex Tech, where he was starting his junior year.
Nolan was a member of the Essex Tech Hawks golf and hockey teams and he had recently been promoted to the varsity golf team. He was employed as a lifeguard in the summer at the Salem Country Club and the Life Time Fitness Center in Peabody.
Nolan is survived by his mother Deborah J. Farrar of Punta Gorda, FL; his father Francis G. Kearney, Jr. of Pocasset, his sister Lillian G. Kearney and brother Ethan P. Kearney, his aunts and uncles.
