Ghostface Killah, born Dennis David Coles on May 9, 1970, is an American rapper and a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. Known for his solo career after the group’s initial success, he debuted with “Ironman” in 1996, receiving praise from critics.
Ghostface Killah has continued to achieve success with acclaimed albums like “Supreme Clientele” (2000) and “Fishscale” (2006). His stage name is derived from a character in the 1979 kung fu film “The Mystery of Chess Boxing,” and he is the founder of the record label Starks Enterprises.
However, fans are curious and eager to know more about their family, especially his brother. In this, we will provide you with information about his brother.
Who are Ghostface Killah Brothers?
Ghostface, at the age of 13, became aware of his family’s struggles. With his father absent and a single mother occupied, he took on the responsibility of caring for his numerous siblings.
As the oldest among his siblings, he took on a caretaker role, especially for two brothers with muscular dystrophy who used wheelchairs. His assistance extended to daily tasks, including helping them with bathroom needs and getting on and off their wheelchairs.
Ghostface faced a potential risk of muscular dystrophy, but he remained resilient, maintaining a strong presence through regular workouts. His dedication resulted in an unusual level of physical strength, instilling fear in the streets.
In his modest three-bedroom apartment, he shared living space with 15 people, describing the experience as challenging. The absence of his father meant he had to take on more responsibilities.
Growing up in a challenging environment with a mother battling alcohol addiction, Ghostface often found himself going back and forth to the store. Gifts were a rarity, and the pressures of poverty led him to the streets.
Unfortunately, the street life, marked by drug wars and substance abuse, caused him to drop out of high school and eventually land in prison at the age of 15.
