Dru Hill is a singing group from the United States that started in Baltimore in 1992. The group makes R&B music, including soul, hip hop soul, and gospel. The original members were Mark “Sisqó” Andrews, Tamir “Nokio” Ruffin, Larry “Jazz” Anthony, and James “Woody” Green.
They became popular in the 1990s and recorded hits like “In My Bed,” “Never Make a Promise,” and “How Deep Is Your Love.” They signed with Island Records and released two successful albums, Dru Hill and Enter the Dru.
However, they took a break from 1999 to 2002, during which Sisqó and Woody released solo albums. Dru Hill came back in 2002 with a new member, Scola, and released their third album, Dru World Order. After that, they had some issues with their record label and were dropped in 2004.
In 2009, they signed with Kedar Entertainment Group and released their fourth album, InDRUpendence Day, in the following year, with a new member named Tao.

Dru Hill’s early years saw them working at a local fudge factory in Baltimore, entertaining guests while making fudge. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1996, achieved success with hits like “In My Bed” and “Tell Me.” The group faced challenges, including a lawsuit against Island Records, but eventually settled and continued their musical journey.
Their third album, “Enter the Dru,” included hits like “How Deep Is Your Love” and “These are the Times.” The group faced charges after a shooting incident leading to Woody’s departure. Sisqó’s solo success, highlighted by “Thong Song,” brought both individual acclaim and challenges to the group’s unity.
“Dru World Order” (2002) faced internal issues, with Sisqó’s solo focus impacting the group. Despite setbacks, they released the album with a new member, Scola. Label changes, conflicts, and hiatuses followed, leading to their departure from Def Soul in 2004.
InDRUpendence Day (2010) marked their return with new member Tao. Lineup changes continued, with Woody and Scola leaving.
