We are deeply saddened to share with you that Sean Sweeney left this world suddenly and all too soon on November 23, 2023. Everyone who knew him feels the loss of his light profoundly and is grateful for his presence in their lives.
Where Was Sean Sweeney’s Funeral Services Held?
Sean Sweeney’s cause of death is not yet disclosed. On Friday, December 1st, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sacred Heart Church, 4th & Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077, was open for visitation.
On Saturday, December 2nd, from 9:15 am to 10:45 am, there will be another visitation at the same site. Following at 11:00 am, at Sacred Heart Church, 4th & Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077, is the Mass of Christian Burial.
After his passing, family, friends and neighbors have gathered to honor Sean Sweeney. He was a cherished son and brother, according to his friends and family. Those who had the honor of knowing him will surely be greatly saddened by his passing.
Alexis Hatten posted after his death, “Sean Sweeney I have no words… you were a part of the first real friend group I found in Florida and I’ll always be grateful for all of you. You will be missed by many around the world man.”
What Work Did Sean Sweeney Do in His Life?
After spending his first five years of life in Philadelphia’s Fairmount neighborhood, Sean later grew up in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, where he enjoyed exploring Pompeston Creek and constructing tree forts. In the marching band and orchestra at Cinnaminson High School, he was a drummer.
Sean spent two years as a student at Columbia College in Chicago. In 2010 he go back to Philadelphia when he purchased a house in Fishtown. Being an IATSE stagehand was Sean’s career and passion. He was employed by almost all of the country’s leading touring theaters.
His love of stagecraft and theater brought him to Asia and Europe to work as a carpenter and automation technician for productions. He spread boundless joy to friends and strangers alike with his tiny deeds of selfless generosity at every port of call.
He eventually met his wife, Natalia, while on tours, where he also made some of his closest friends. Sean is a people-gatherer with friends from many walks of life and all across the globe.

Who is in Sean Sweeney’s Family?
He leaves behind his loving family which includes his wife, Natalia Lepore Hagan, his parents, Michael and Maureen Sweeney; his sister Erin Rossell, her husband James and his godson, Laine Rossell; his sister Meaghan Keenan, her husband Sean, niece Madison Keenan, nephew Logan Keenan, and his son Rylan Sweeney. He also leaves behind the love of many aunts, uncles and cousins.
