Why Has Hollie Strano Been Charged?
Hollie Strano, a longtime meteorologist for WKYC Channel 3 has been charged with operating while intoxicated after she crashed her car in Summit County on Thanksgiving. Below we shared a post related to the accident:

According to records in Cuyahoga Falls Mayor’s Court, after the collision on Akron-Peninsula Road shortly after 7:30 p.m. Strano, a native of Lyndhurst who currently resides in Highland Heights, had a blood alcohol content of 0.244.
A blood alcohol content of 0.08 in Ohio qualifies a person as legally inebriated. Strano has also been accused of driving in defined lanes or continuous lines of traffic and of having a high blood alcohol content.
Ian Friedman, the lawyer representing Strano said “thankfully” Strano was not hurt in the crash. Strano was observed by a police officer driving at about 70 mph in a 35 mph zone on Akron-Peninsula Road. The officer turns around and starts chasing Strano with his emergency lights on, as seen in a dashcam footage.
A short while later, Strano’s car starts to weave and veer off the right side of the road, hitting a utility pole and spinning the car around. The footage demonstrates how the impact broke the pole. After that accident paramedics treated Strano at the scene and she declined to go to the hospital. The full report of incident is not yet revealed.
