What is the Age of Amy Carter?

On October 19, 1967, Amy Carter was born in Plains, Georgia. Her father was elected Georgia’s governor in 1970 and later the US president in 1976. Her family moved into the Georgia Governor’s Mansion in Atlanta once her father was elected governor, but she was raised in Plains until then.

When her father won the US presidential election and the family relocated to the White House, she was nine years old. During her four years in the White House, Carter attended Rose Hardy Middle School and Stevens Elementary School, two public schools in Washington.

Carter relocated to Atlanta during her father’s presidency, where she completed her final year of high school at Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia. In the summer of 1982, she worked as a page for the Senate. Carter studied at Brown University.

She later graduated in 1996 with a master’s degree in art history from Tulane University in New Orleans and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Memphis College of Art. Carter’s childhood home at the White House during the Carter administration brought her into the public eye.
