She is a part of Red Velvet, a South Korean girl group. Her solo debut came in 2021 with the release of the EP Like Water. She joined the ensemble Got the Beat of SM Entertainment in 2022. In addition to her work in music, Wendy has been on television on a number of occasions.
She was a panelist on the reality shows Trick & True, We Got Married, Saturday Night Live Korea and Mysterious Record Shop. Wendy was the host of the radio show Wendy’s Youngstreet from 2021 until 2023. She debuted on stage in the musical Rebecca in 2023 as well.
Did Wendy Suffer Any Injury in Her Life?
Wendy experienced a catastrophic mishap on December 25, 2019, while working alone for the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon. She fell around 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) because the lift stairs were missing and the stage design lacked the required safety precautions.
The unlucky event left her with multiple face injuries including a cracked cheekbone, a fractured wrist and a pelvic fracture on the right side of her body. She had to cancel all of her scheduled activities as a result of this.
In February 2020, Wendy was released from the hospital following a two-month stay and outpatient therapy.
