Joey Jordison’s Formative Years as a Musician
We already know him with Slipknot but he worked with dozens of metal and rock bands too. Joey Jordison played drums for Slipknot on their first four studio albums and on their performance album 9.0: performance, released in 2005. In addition to his own work, Jordison has performed alongside such notable acts as Rob Zombie, Metallica, Korn, Ministry, Otep, and Satyricon.
Jordison was well-known for his session work, which saw him featured on the albums of a wide range of artists. Jordison played on drums from a number of different companies, including drum and Pearl. At the time of his death, Jordison was performing with the blackened death metal band Sinsaenum.

Joey Jordison stated in an interview that she was diagnosed with acute transverse myelitis. They started having problems in 2010 while on the road with Murderdolls. However, the diagnosis of the ailment required some time. This caused his left leg to become ineffective and eventually stop working. In addition to temporarily paralyzing him, his neurological ailment also left him unable to play the drums. He got well after some time in the hospital and some physical therapy from his trainer, Caleb.
Was Joey Jordison Truly Forced Out of Slipknot?
Joey claimed in 2013 that he was forced out of Slipknot. To add insult to injury, he stated that he “did not quit” and that he was “shocked” and “blindsided.” He left, but it’s more accurate to say he was let go. Later, however, he disclosed details about his condition that could provide us with insight into what had transpired.
He told his audience that he had transverse myelitis, a neurological condition that made it difficult for him to play the drums.
