Who Confirmed the News of Devon Wylie’s Death?
A family member of Wylie confirmed the news of his death on social media. The statement is:
“Wanted to make this post so people who knew and loved Devon could learn of his passing because we don’t have the capacity to reach out to everyone in this hard time. There are no words to express the sadness that comes from losing a brother, dear friend and an amazing uncle. Devon had so much love and joy to give.”
“Always making people laugh and entertaining us with his football skills, guitar jams, silly jokes and voices, back-flip tricks, fun banter, Star Wars obsession chat, Halo nights and not to mention his beautiful smile. We will miss him always.”
From 2007 to 2011, Wylie played for Fresno State. He caught 98 passes, gained 1,327 yards and scored eight scores. The Bulldogs of Fresno State shared a dedication to Wylie on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 after it was confirmed that he had died.

Wylie played for more than one team in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs picked him in the fourth round of the 2012 Draft. He played in six games for them that season before being let go. He also played two games for the Tennessee Titans and was on practice squads for five other teams before getting moved to the CFL in 2016.
