The 26th season of “The Bachelor” featured beauty queen and wedding photographer Susie Evans. She was one of the final three women. With Whom Was Susie Evans’ Dating?
She was in a relationship with Clayton Echard. Echard’s season of “The Bachelor” began filming in September 2021. Echard met Evans on the first night and the buzzer on her handshake made her stand out. Although Evans didn’t win Echard’s first impression rose.
However, it was clear that Evans and Echard had a bond. Echard told Here For The Right Reasons show in January 2022 about that meeting that stuck with him. He explained:
“Susie was very fun coming out of the limo. I like somebody that has a sense of humor, Cause you kinda think, like, coming out that limo, cameras are all around you and you can still maintain that poise, that confidence — that says a lot about somebody. I was very impressed by her.”
Clay Echard and Susie Evans fight for the first time in November 2021. It was during their dream suite date in Iceland. Evans found out that Echard had been intimate with both Recchia and Windey and had said he loved both of them.
A lot of people, especially Bachelor fans, didn’t like Evans and Echard’s fight. Evans said at the time:
“I just thought he would have been better at getting through that conversation kindly.”
After some time, Clayton Echard asks Susie Evans to give him another chance. Following his breakups with Windey and Recchia, Echard wrote to Evans and asked her to meet him before she left Iceland. She agreed and Echard used the chance to say sorry for what they had said and explain how he felt. He said:
“I know that I can’t take back what I’ve done, and I take full accountability for it, It’s just you and me here ’cause I don’t want anything else … I’m so fully committed [to], like, showing you how much I love you.”
Evans liked that Echard said she was sorry and kept “love in [her] heart for [him]” but the wedding photographer wasn’t ready to move on. She told Echart:
“I felt bad about what I did and it was humiliating, if I’m being honest, I felt like a stray dog that had come into your home and you were shooing me out. I don’t think that I’m your person … It’s over.”
While in Iceland, Echard and Evans went their different ways. It didn’t look like they would meet again. On the other hand, during After The Final Rose, the pair said they were back together romantically. Evans told Bachelor host Jesse Palmer:
“We took time apart after the show, and we reset, and we relaid foundation and we’re really happy.”
But in September 2022, Clayton Echard and Susie Evans broke up. They announced their split in a joint Instagram statement.
