Where Did Lomax Start His Rugby Career?
Lomax started playing rugby in Australia and joined the national under-20 team. Later, he signed a two-year deal with the Melbourne Rebels. After returning to New Zealand, he played for Tasman in the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup.
In September 2017, the Highlanders in New Zealand signed Lomax. In May 2019, he joined the Hurricanes for the 2020 Super Rugby season. In 2019, he was part of the Tasman Mako team that won the Mitre 10 Cup. In 2020, he played for the South Island squad in the North vs South rugby union match.
Lomax made his debut for the Māori All Blacks in November 2017 and played 6 games between 2017 and 2019. He became All Black number 1180, debuting against Japan in November 2018. He didn’t play again until 2020, making 5 appearances.
