Robert Card is the suspect of the Lewiston, Maine shooting. Although Card was first listed as a person of interest, authorities have now stated that they believe him to be a suspect in the shootings. According to the police, he ran away after the shooting.
According to investigators, Card is wanted on eight charges of murder and an arrest warrant was issued Thursday, October 25 morning.
According to officials, Card is 40 years old and hails from the nearby town of Bowdoin, Maine. His height is reported as 5’11” and his weight is 230 pounds. Records reveal that Card, a reservist in the military has a history of mental health problems.
Card studied engineering at the University of Maine, although it was unclear if he ever graduated. Bowdoin was the final known address for him.

What are Authorities Doing to Find Robert Card?
Lewiston’s police department, located roughly 35 miles north of Portland, stated on Facebook that he should be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact law enforcement if you are aware of his whereabouts.
Authorities in the area issued many orders for towns and counties to remain indoors and as the manhunt progressed, they extended these warnings.
Authorities have released many photos of the shooting suspect and urged anyone who recognizes him to get in touch with them. Images of the man, who was wearing a brown shirt, black jeans and light shoes were posted by the Lewiston Police Department on Wednesday, October 25 night.
He was seen clutching a semiautomatic weapon at one of the shooting scenes as shown in the post provided below.
Officials described the semiautomatic weapon as an assault rifle with an extended magazine and sight, although they did not know the brand name.
He also has ties to Massachusetts, but it was unclear exactly what his connections there were. Federal authorities and Massachusetts State Police are positioned at the border with Maine. As a precaution, police were also posted at the borders of Maine and New Hampshire.
