Leva and Lamar are not only life partners but also business partners. They work together in the Republic Development and Management Group and 26 Industries, a marketing and event management firm. They’ve renovated and transformed nightclubs and restaurants in Charleston and run several restaurants themselves.
In September 2019, they started Mesu, a restaurant that mixes Mexican and sushi dishes. Leva and Lamar own Republic Garden& Lounge and Bourbon N’ Bubbles, too. All these places are on King Street, a well-known street in Charleston. In 2020, they also opened 1st Place Pub Premium Sports Pub, also on King Street.
