Before passing away on August 20, 2023, Betty was hospitalized for four days due to severe diarrhea and dehydration. Medical professionals at the hospital initially treated her for food poisoning.
She didn’t react to the medication, though and soon afterward she had heart problems, an accumulation of fluid in her lungs and ultimately organ failure.
While Betty Bowman was in the hospital, Connor Bowman suggested she was suffering from a rare illness called hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis or HLH and she died from that disease. But this is not truth and below you will get all the information related to her death.
What was Found in Connor Bowman’s Wife Autopsy Report?
The 30-year-old Connor Bowman attempted to have his wife Betty Bowman’s autopsy stopped by arguing that she should be cremated right away and claimed that she had a rare illness that hospital testing had not confirmed.
The medical examiner’s office stopped the cremation order due to suspicious circumstances. An autopsy revealed Betty Bowman died as a result of the toxic effects of the gout medication colchicine. The medical records show she was not given a prescription for the medication and was not diagnosed with gout.
It also mentions that Connor Bowman had been looking into the drug before his wife passed away. Six days prior to her hospitalization he had also adjusted his wife’s weight to kilograms and multiplied it by 0.8, since 0.8 mg/kg is considered to be the lethal dosage rate for colchicine.

When Bowman allegedly attempted to prevent his wife’s remains from being autopsied and demanded that they be cremated right away, suspicion was aroused.
Investigators were informed by one of Betty Bowman’s friends that she was a healthy person, but that her marriage was in jeopardy because of infidelity and other problems and that a divorce was imminent.
She also claimed the couple had separate bank accounts due to Connor’s debts and that Connor told the friend he was set to collect $500,000 in life insurance. Inside his house, authorities discovered a $450,000 bank deposit receipt.
