Fans of “The Walking Dead,” convene: The Carol/Daryl spinoff we’ve been waiting for is here at last! Yes, Melissa McBride will be back for season two of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the latest spinoff in the series. Daryl (Norman Reedus) is the protagonist of the spin-off series as he tries to piece together how he ended up on a beach in France.
Originally slated to act opposite Reedus’s Daryl in the spinoff, McBride stepped out in April 2022 after the drama moved production to Europe and she was no longer available to reprise her role as Carol Peletier from the show’s first 11 seasons.
At the franchise’s New York Comic Con panel on Thursday, October 12th, McBride announced that she will return as Carol alongside Daryl in season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. McBride said in a statement on Thursday, “I’ve known there was much more to be told of Carol’s story as I felt her so unsettled when we last saw her, as she watched her best friend, Daryl, ride away.”
Whether they’re apart or (fingers crossed!) together, their stories go deep, and I can’t wait to keep following Carol on her journey here. ”This team of storytellers has done wonderful work to place these two established characters in a totally new realm, and I’m loving the discoveries,” she exclaimed.
When can we expect to see the next episode of the series? Here you will find all the information you require regarding Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead.
Is there Going to be a Second Season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s second season will also have 6 episodes, as was previously announced. Production for season 2 was delayed due to the writer’s strike, however an agreement has been reached to restart shooting. It is expected that production on Season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will continue in Europe.
The first season premiered in September of this year, therefore it’s safe to assume that season 2 will also premiere in the fall of 2019. The show is expected to air on AMC in the United States and be made accessible for streaming on AMC+ and Hulu.
Season 1 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has not been made available in the UK, so it is unclear what will occur in season 2. You should wait for further information before acting.
Daryl Dixon Season 2 Release Date
It’s difficult to predict when the second season of Daryl Dixon will premiere in the United States or the United Kingdom. Fortunately for viewers, the SAG-AFTRA strike hasn’t had too much of an effect on the show. Interim agreements were reached in September between AMC Networks and the actors’ union, allowing production to resume on both Daryl Dixon and another Walking Dead spin-off, The Ones Who Live.
This suggests that the second season will likely appear in the United States a year after the first one premiered, in September 2024. However, predicting when it will be available in the UK is more difficult. A broadcaster or streaming provider has not been confirmed for the spin-off, as has been the case with other Walking Dead shows like Dead City, and the first season has not yet shown on our side of the pond.
Once a broadcaster is chosen, the second season will presumably air on the same platform, hopefully with a shorter delay than the US airing.

What Will Daryl Dixon Season 2 Cover?
There are still two episodes left in season 1, thus plot details for season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon are being kept under wraps. However, it will most likely follow the group as they continue their trek across France with Daryl and Isabelle. There have been rumors that Carol and Daryl would reunite in a guest role, so fans can look forward to seeing some familiar faces return to the franchise. Although she and Daryl had planned to star in a spin-off together, she ultimately decided against doing so.
