After playing college football, Garrison went on to play in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys, where he established himself as a star rusher and receiver.

Not only was he a ProRodeo competitor, but he also played fullback for the Dallas Cowboys. Growing up, Garrison spent a lot of time atop a horse or a steer. During his high school years, he was an active member of the rodeo community, competing in events such as bareback riding, bull riding, calf roping, and steer wrestling.
