On the morning of September 29, 2023, the world said a quiet goodbye to a truly exceptional person. On July 1, 1928 Ross Pratt Taylor was born to Henry Warren Taylor and Myrtle Johnson Taylor.
Ross was a role model and inspiration to his older sisters and brothers, Venice, Mildred, and Mardean, and Willis and Preston. His legacy of compassion and knowledge will continue on in the lives of those who were lucky enough to have known him.

Ross Pratt Taylor quietly left this world on September 29, 2023. His parents, Henry Warren Taylor and Myrtle Johnson Taylor gave birth to him on July 1, 1928, in Perry, Utah. His older siblings, Venice, Mildred, and Mardean, as well as brothers Willis and Preston, idolized him.
For elementary and junior high school, Ross lived on the University of Utah campus and attended Stewart School. He became an avid Utes fan after this and went to every game he could. He continued his education and graduated from East High. When he came back to finish his education at the University of Utah, the cycle was complete.
Michael Romney, Mark Romney, and Greg Romney are his three kids from his marriage to Jacine Romney. While in Salt Lake City, Ross worked for International Harvester. In Denver, Colorado, he met his future wife, Karen Wamsley. The day after Christmas, a blizzard hit Bear Lake, where the couple got married in Garden City, Utah. Leslie and Aaron, two more children, followed.
Ross left the company after spending time in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Des Moines, Iowa, and is now a dealer in Burley, Idaho, in the scenic Magic Valley. There, he made friends for life and assisted many farmers and truckers.
The Latter-day Saint Church was very important to Ross, and he was an active member. Though he served in several capacities, his favorite was that of Ward and Stake Mission Leader. Ross received the Silver Beaver Scouting Award, which was a great honor. His wife Karen, five children and their spouses, nine granddaughters, and ten great-grandchildren are all still here to remember Ross.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., funeral services will be place at the Summerhill Stake Center in Riverton, Utah (12120 South 1300 West). The viewing is from 9:30 to 10:30, and the funeral is at 11:00. Garden City, Utah, is home to the scenic Bear Lake, which will serve as the backdrop for the final resting place.
