Early on Saturday, October 7 morning, a collision in Salisbury, Maryland claimed the life of a student from the Delmar School District. In this post, you will get all the information related to the incident.
What Happened at the Accident Spot?
According to Salisbury Police, the single-vehicle collision happened on October 7, 2023, near Lloyd Street and South Salisbury Boulevard (Bus. Route 13) at about 12:30 a.m.
The police did not say who the kid was, but Superintendent of the Delmar School District Andrew O’Neal said:
“On behalf of the entire Delmar School District community, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of one of our dear students and to all those who are suffering due to his heartbreaking loss.”
“We join the community in sharing our thoughts and prayers as we all endure the shock of this unspeakable tragedy. The entirety of our community is reeling, in pain and in deep sorrow.”
The cause of the collision and the degree of any more potential injuries have not yet been disclosed by Salisbury Police.
The district has said that counselors from their district will be made available to the Delmar community in the coming days, along with those from its neighbors in Sussex County and Wicomico County, Maryland.

As news of the fatal crash spread, many people sent condolences and words of support. Doug Marshall shared a post and said that they will be hosting a candlelight vigil behind the Delmar Walgreens on the corner of Rt 54 and Old Stage Road.
Delmar Wildcats Football team posted, “We ask for your thoughts and prayers for our team and our community at this time.”
