Who is Jim Caple’s Wife?
Vicki Schuman is the wife of Jim Caple. The couple have been together for more than thirty years. She had the same sense of excitement as he did. It all started when they fell in love in Minnesota in the late 1980s.
Caple worked for the school newspaper, The Daily, while he was studying communications at the University of Washington. Jim’s first job was at the Bellevue Journal-American, where he wrote about sports. He moved to Minnesota in 1989 and started writing about the Minnesota Twins, the Olympics and other sports.
Caple and Schuman got married after going out together for a while. From then on, they went on a trip together that was full of love, trouble and many things they had in common.
We don’t know much about what Jim Caple’s wife does for a living, but the fact that she stood by him when he had trouble at work or with his health showed how close they were. She stuck with him through good and bad times, which showed how much she cared about their relationship.

Jim Caple passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the age of 61. Vicki Schuman is very upset that her husband, Jim Caple has died. When he died, she was left with a big hole in her life. Caple’s wife “Vicki” said that he was dealing with both ALS and confusion. She said:
“My person, best friend and husband died on Sunday afternoon, We all love Jim Caple so much, and he loved you. Many great times, laughs and adventures with all of us with Jim. Go in peace my love.”

Caple grew up in Washington and went to the University of Washington. From 2001 to 2017, he covered baseball for ESPN. He also worked for the St. Paul Pioneer-Press, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and most recently, The Athletic.
He wrote several books over the course of his work such as “The Devil Wears Pinstripes,” which was about the New York Yankees and “Best Boston Sports Arguments” which he wrote with longtime Boston Herald columnist Steve Buckley. He also wrote a book that was inspired in part by what his dad did as a pilot in World War II.
