Former NFL defensive end and linebacker Jason Paul Taylor (born September 1, 1974) is an American football legend who played his whole career with the Miami Dolphins. Taylor is currently working for the Miami Hurricanes as a defensive ends coach. Taylor spent most of his 15-year career (13 of those years) with the Miami Dolphins (from 1997 to 2007 and again from 2009 to 2011), while he also spent time with the Washington Redskins (2008) and the New York Jets (2010). The Taylors’ first child, a son they called Jordan, was born in July 2021, marking the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in their lives. The arrival of Jordan changed their lives forever, and they’re thrilled to be new parents. In July, they threw a space-themed celebration for Jordan, who turned 2, with the theme “TWO infinity and beyond!” As fans, all we can do is hope they continue to make wonderful experiences together as a family.
Did Jason Taylor Retire From Baseball?
Taylor announced his retirement from baseball on December 28th, 2011. His final game was a 19-17 victory over his previous team, the New York Jets, on January 1, 2012. Taylor almost scored on a fumble return in the game, but the touchdown was overturned. Taylor was carried off the field by his teammates in a ceremonial fashion after the final buzzer sounded.
Jason finished his career with 139.5 sacks, good for sixth on the NFL’s all-time list. He also had 47 career forced fumbles, 29 fumble recoveries, including an NFL record six recovered for touchdowns, and eight career interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns. He has the record for the most defensive touchdowns scored by a defensive lineman in NFL history with nine.
