Paul Simon was born on October 13, 1941, and now he is 81 years old. His height is around 5’3″ (160 cm). In his adolescence, he became interested in rock music. In 1956, he started performing alongside Art Garfunkel, a classmate.

What is Paul Simon’s Ethnicity?
Simon was born to Hungarian-Jewish parents in Newark, New Jersey. His father, Louis Sims led a dance band played double bass and taught education at the City College of New York. He went by the stage name Lee Sims.
Belle, his mother taught in an elementary school. His family relocated to Flushing, Queens’ Kew Gardens Hills neighborhood in 1945. Simon was raised as a certain kind of New York Jew, almost a stereotype, who values music and baseball highly.
As a kid, Simon enjoyed playing stickball and baseball. Despite working late and not spending much time with his kids, he said his father was humorous and educated. At age 10, Simon and Art Garfunkel first crossed paths.
When they were in sixth grade, they participated in a play of Alice in Wonderland. They started singing together when they were 13 years old and they occasionally sang together at school dances. Simon and Art Garfunkel recorded “The Girl for Me” when Simon was 12 or 13 years old.
Simon claimed that it became a neighborhood hit. For the boys to utilize, his father scribbled the lyrics and chords on paper. That document, which is now housed at the Library of Congress, became the first Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel song to be formally protected by copyright.
Mid-teens at the time, their record company Big Records gave them the moniker “Tom & Jerry” and they recorded the song “Hey, Schoolgirl” under that name in 1957. The song debuted at position 49 on the pop charts.
Simon majored in English at Queens College after graduating from Forest Hills High School and he received his degree there in 1963, while Garfunkel studied mathematics education at Manhattan’s Columbia University. Simon was a member of the fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi and he later spent one semester in 1963 studying at Brooklyn Law School.
