Regis University stopped all classes on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 after hearing that two students had died in the past few days.
Regis wrote on its Facebook page that all classes have been canceled due to the sad news of a student’s passing tonight and the death of another student over the weekend who was studying overseas.
There will be a vigil in the St. Francis Regis Chapel scheduled for 1 p.m. At the end of September 2023, an incident happened near Regis University.
At 5:10 a.m., there was the attack on September 14, 2023. The report was made on an RTD bus at West 32nd Avenue and Federal Boulevard. A surveillance video showed a guy getting on an RTD bus and a man in the back of the bus was stabbed in the neck by the suspect immediately without provocation or warning.
People who saw what happened called 911 and said that the suspect was a Hispanic guy. After the bus stopped, the suspect got off in the back. The person was taken to a hospital nearby, where the victim was declared dead.
Regis University in Denver, Colorado was put on lockdown for a short time on September 14, 2023, while police looked for the murderer. People on campus were told in a tweet to stay where they were and find a safe place.

Was the Suspect Arrested?
The suspect was caught at 55th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard, 16 minutes after Regis posted the lockdown warning.

He was said to have blood on his hands and a bloody knife was found in his bag. Vinchenzo Moscoso, who is 29 years old has been caught and is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The reasons why these people were killed are still being looked into.
