She made countless appearances in films and television shows and her image was even used to create an action figure. O’Neil’s greatest accomplishment was setting the record for women’s absolute land speed which persisted until 2019.

Tragically, illness claimed Kitty O’Neil’s life at the age of 72. Despite her premature passing, her achievements as a groundbreaking stuntwoman and racer will live on as a source of inspiration for future generations.

O’Neil has been hearing-impaired since he was a little child. She once received the title of fastest woman in the world. The 72-year-old also tried his hand at fast sports like motorcycle racing and water skiing. In 1946, Kitty O’Neil was born in Corpus Christi.

Patsy Compton O’Neil was her mother. John O’Neil, her father served as an officer in the American Army Air Forces. He perished in an air disaster. Kitty was only a few months old when she caught several illnesses that caused a severe fever and eventually rendered her deaf.

She then learned many forms of communication. However, her career as a driver was cut short by her wrist injury and illness. Neil was dedicated to realizing his dream of being a professional athlete. Later, Kitty participated in activities like motorcycle racing and water skiing.

She also committed things like burning herself while falling from terrifying heights. In the 1970s, she got her start as a stunt performer. She participated in The Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman and she was the first woman to join Stunts Unlimited, a group for the best stunt actors in Hollywood.
