Stetson Bennett, a rookie quarterback with the Los Angeles Rams, has been placed on the team’s non-football injury list. Sean McVay, head coach of the Rams, has declined to discuss the decision.
“Out of respect for him and the situation, I’m going to leave all the specifics and particulars in-house,” said McVay, ahead of the Rams’ week two fixture against the San Francisco 49ers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.

Stetson Bennett considered attending other universities but ultimately decided on the University of Georgia. There were a few bumps in the road during his stay with the Bulldogs. Bennett did not receive an athletic scholarship when he joined the squad and instead participated as a “walk-on.”
