Why is Lauren Boebert in Controversy Recently?
The congresswoman was enthusiastically attending a weekend production of Beetlejuice, which the Denver Post itself labelled as “zany”, “outrageous” and a “lusty riot”.
She was removed from a performance of the musical “Beetlejuice” due to disruptive behaviour. She recently issued an apology. She said:
“The past few days have been difficult and humbling and I’m truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday, September 17 evening in Denver has brought to the community, While none of my actions or words as a private citizen that night were intended to be malicious or meant to cause harm, the reality is they did and I regret that.”
In a statement on social media, Boebert said that she did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and she pleaded guilty to laughing and singing too loud!
