Mariah Smith, a Lake City girl of 12, was shot and killed by Jatarious Rashad Fluellen, then 14. The teen was arrested on Monday and charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. The LCPD reports that Officer Smith was found with a gunshot wound. The police and EMTs did their best to help, but the teenager ultimately succumbed to her wounds.
