With Chucky season 3 confirmed, information on the returning actors, story details, and other Chucky season 3 news is keenly awaited. Chucky continues the heritage of the Child’s Play franchise, which follows a violent doll. The spirit of serial murderer Charles Lee Ray possessed a Good Guy doll in the original 1988 movie via a soul-transferring ceremony, and it’s the very same homicidal doll that takes centre stage in Don Macini’s Chucky on SyFy and Peacock.
The film franchise continues with six additional sequels (excluding a 2019 remake). The Chucky TV program is set after the events of the final movie in canon, 2017’s Cult of Chucky, and the titular doll’s small screen debut has him attack Charles Lee Ray’s New Jersey hometown of Hackensack.
Chucky Season 3 Release Date
The Chucky season 3 release date is October 4, 2023 on both SyFy and USA networks. When Chucky first revealed the Chucky season 3 renewal news, the clip included the words “coming Fall 2023” in the video title. However, it was also believed that there would be delays as the cast would have had to end filming sooner than scheduled owing to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Nevertheless, the Chucky TV show maintained to its release date pledge, and new episodes would be available to stream the next day on Peacock. In addition, Chucky season 2 will be available in its entirety on Peacock on September 4 for customers who need to catch up before the new season begins.
Filming for Chucky season 3 officially began on April 27, 2023. According to Production List, the TV show was intended to film until August 28, 2023, in Toronto, Canada, but, the SAG-AFTRA strike for fair compensation likely delayed production.

The storyline summary for Chucky season 3 has been kept under wraps by the show’s creator, Don Mancini. Furthermore, there was almost no foreshadowing in the first Chucky tweet. However, rewatching the last moments of Chucky Season 2 could provide important clues.
In the final episode, Lexy’s mother passed away. Now that Lexy has successfully kicked her substance abuse disorder (SUD), the Chucky TV show may investigate the role of stress and trauma in the development of her SUD. Nica is another severely disturbed character the audience encounters.
In season 2 Nica sought payback against Chucky and Tiffany for the way they had ruined her life and held her captive. Over the phone, she warns Tiffany that she will be killing her because of what she did. Season 3 of Chucky is likely to be when this storyline is resolved.
